THE CASWELL SPRING MARKET Set for April 30th, May 1st & 2nd, 2010!
The CASWELL SPRING MARKET, a G-I-A-N-T Rummage Sale of new and used items – from art and antiques to yard supplies – donated for re-sale to benefit THE ARTS, will open with a 'PREVIEW PARTY' on THURSDAY, APRIL 29th from 7-9 PM, return on FRIDAY, APRIL 30TH, and continue on SATURDAY, MAY 1st and SUNDAY, MAY 2nd, 2010!
Still-serviceable goods and merchandise of virtually EVERY description are gratefully accepted for this major fund-raiser for the CASWELL COUNCIL FOR THE ARTS, with all proceeds going to support such Arts Council programs as ARTS-IN-EDUCATION PROGRAMS in the public schools, SCHOLARSHIPS, and programs for both pre-school aged children AND senior citizens. All contributions to this community-based non-profit organization are fully tax-deductible within the limits of the law.
EVERYONE has items in their drawers, closets, attics, basement and garages that they simply no longer need or want! Items especially sought include art, antiques, collectibles, household goods and furbishings of every description, furniture, appliances, electronics in good working order, baby clothes and accessories, toys, costume jewelry, and even home baked goods for our concessions stand. Contributions are accepted throughout the year and may be dropped off at the Caswell County Civic Center, 536 Main Street East in Yanceyville, North Carolina. Pick-up may be arranged for large items or full-loads by calling (336) 694-4591.
The 2010 CASWELL SPRING MARKET will take place from 8-5 on FRIDAY, APRIL 30TH and SATURDAY, MAY 1st, and on SUNDAY, MAY 2nd from 1-5 at the Caswell County Civic Center in Yanceyville.
Admission to the SPRING MARKET is $1 per person on FRIDAY and SATURDAY, but FREE on SUNDAY, with 50% savings on SUNDAY only for any items $2 or over!
The THURSDAY, APRIL 29th 'Preview Party' is just $7.50 per person and includes two hot-dogs or a barbecue sandwich, chips, drink, and dessert -- plus door prizes, live entertainment, AND the opportunity to purchase in advance at a 20% mark-up!
VOLUNTEERS to work during the week leading up to the sale AND during the sale itself are also urgently needed. It takes a small army to receive, clean, sort and price merchandise, as well as to handle sales, bag or box, assist customers, work concessions, and assist with clean up after the event, etc. If you would like to help, PLEASE call us!
Email us at ccarts@caswell.k12.nc.us to donate merchandise; arrange pick-up for items too large to transport or full-loads of merchandise; or to volunteer.
